COVID-19 Information and Resources
Funeral Assistance Program
Beginning April 12, 2021, FEMA will provide financial assistance for those who qualify for COVID-19-related funeral expenses incurred after January 20, 2020 -- up to $9,000 for qualified funeral expenses. This is made available under the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021 and the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. FEMA is receiving a large volume of calls, but there is currently no deadline to apply for assistance.
